What Happens If I Approve All The Spam?

Hello, I haven’t written on here in a while, But I just logged on to find I had 93 comments. Yey! Actually no, about 4 of these were legitimate comments. The rest was spam. But this spam confuses me. I understand the ones that pose as legitimate comments (“Hey, this is a great resource.” etc)
